Who are we?

We are a small, locally owned and operated vehicle hire business, taking the greatest pride in our reputation.

The original company, Lo Cost Van Hire was formed 12 years ago and has been successful in providing budget priced vehicle rental, with the most flexible and friendly service.

Recently, we have introduced the 'Sprint Hire' name and logo which will be used on vehicles during 2008, whilst retaining the Lo Cost name for the DIY Removal vehicles.

We are always keen to advise our customers, in any way we can, to help to cut their costs and get the most out of their hire vehicle.

Moving home?

One area where we excel is the range of vehicles offered, particularly for DIY home removals. Not only do we provide the vehicle (and a free sack barrow if required), but we can also advise on packing materials and storage.

Who can hire?

Generally speaking, if you are aged between 21 and 70 years of age and have held a full UK driving licence for over 2 years, then you will be able to drive. (Your licence needs to be 'reasonably clean' and separate requirements apply to the hire of mini-buses and 7.5tonne trucks. Please ask for more information)

Can we help you?

Probably best to mention the diversity of loads we have been able to deal with over the last few months. We have received requests for help with moving aircraft parts, trade show displays, partly restored classic cars, vintage motorcycles, garden sheds and relocations to and from Spain, France, Holland, Germany, Portugal and Ireland. (Nobody has mentioned the 'kitchen sink', but we are certain it has been on one of our vehicles!)

We get many requests for emergency vehicle hire, particularly where the hirer's own vehicle is awaiting repair and longer term hires. We can build in very flexible and cost effective deals, in these circumstances.

Mon - Fri  8.00am to 5.30pm 

Saturday  8.00am to 12.00noon and 4.00pm to 5.00pm
